The resort was amazing, and every staff member I encountered was constructive and friendly. Mr. Marcelino, the concierge, was there if I needed anything during my stay. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about the resort!

I booked to stay at the Hideaway at Royalton through Tui but was a little unsure what to expect after looking at some trip advisor reviews which had been left. However, after returning home yesterday, I felt some of the studies didn’t do the place justice.

I really was pleasantly surprised with the whole resort! The staff there are incredibly friendly with their cozumel private snorkeling tour suggestions and welcoming, and so hardworking! We had a swim up room in the hideaway section, which even though it only got the sun for a few hours a day really was a beautiful room with a large jacuzzi bath and double rain shower.

The main hideaway pool and bar were well kept. The steak and armadillo restaurants were my favorites, visiting both twice! And the armadillo restaurant I had the best chicken fajitas I have ever tasted, and in the buffet breakfast, the nicest man made me a brilliant fresh omelet each day. I understand people’s issues relating to booking dinners and no spaces as a few days we had to come back later to get a table, but unsure how this could be handled a better way to be fair to everyone!

The beach although was lovely the sea was full of seaweed, and a lot was washed up on the beach, a tractor seemed to go up and down the beach but didn’t seem to clear any away, so that was a shame. On the day of check out, we had use of a hospitality room which was a beautiful touch, meaning we could freshen up after checking out of our office but before we left for the airport.

And the room key bracelets are an excellent idea, meaning you don’t have to carry a card or key around with you. The only few things I think could be improved on for me, is that not many of the bars or restaurants seemed to have air con in so were a little warm, and didn’t seem to have drinks menus for cocktails. When on all inclusive I like to try a few different drinks off the list for a change, but there weren’t any menus to look at.

Also, there weren’t an awful lot of signs around the place telling you where restaurants and bars are, it took us a few days walking around to find everything. But overall, a great stay and would happily return and recommend others to do so. I think getting a pool or sea view room would be a better option than the mangroves to enhance your experience. Brilliant thanks for a great holiday!
