On the beach, a couple of hundred feet from 5th Ave. Between Playacar and Mamitas. Ximena at the front desk was excellent as was housekeeping. There is a seaweed problem that is right in front of Colibri, so the beach in front of the hotel is not good right now. Can’t beat the price and location.
Rooms are beautiful and have a balcony. They have a bar on the beach, and it is a lovely place to stay. Excellent service from the guys. It is just one block away from 5th avenue, so it is very convenient. I loved the food and decoration.
Staff was accommodating. The room was clean, and A/C was high. Lido restaurant is on the beach in front of the hotel, and it was perfect. Entirely made to order breakfast is in the room cost — overall great experience.
I have been staying here for years, and this is a beautiful hotel. It is small and personal. Beautiful grounds. And affordable. Close to all the action but feels very private — the most helpful and kind staff – we heard from them about the sea trek helmet diving cozumel tours, both at the front desk and Lido Beach Club. You are right on the beach, and the rooms are clean, and some have beautiful views of the ocean. The suite is nothing short of paradise with a rooftop jacuzzi!
The free breakfast is so good and served right on the beach. All the food at Lido is good. The arrachera quesadillas with the chipotle sauce are one of my favorite foods anywhere.
I love Playa for the ability to dive the incredible caves and also hop on the ferry and dive Cozumel. And for me, there’s no better place to stay than Colibri.
Some people complain about the music late into the night. I just don’t get it. I notice it, but it’s never been anything that bothers me — just a little background noise. If someone has to have complete silence to sleep, I guess I understand but no problem for me. Do yourself a favor and have a great vacation at Colibri!
